Sarah Jones

Sarah Jones is Associate Director at the Digital Curation Centre, a service to support the higher education sector with research data management. She coordinates work on the DCC’s Data Management Planning tool - DMPonline - and undertakes research on data policy and data management planning. She has written several articles and book chapters on these topics, and co-edited Delivering Research Data Management Services: fundamentals of good practice.

Gareth O'Neill

Franco Niccolucci

Prof. Franco Niccolucci: director of VAST-LAB at PIN, was professor at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Florence until 2008, and later the director of the Science and Technology in Archaeology Research Center of the Cyprus Institute in Nicosia. With a degree in Mathematics, he started working on Cultural Heritage applications in 1996. Since then he has been the scientific coordinator of a number of EU-funded projects. He is currently the coordinator of ARIADNE and PARTHENOS. Within EOSCpilot, he is the PI of the TEXTCROWD Science Demonstrator.

He has a long-term interest in the management and reuse of data and the skills and services necessary to support this, and is a frequent speaker on these topics as well as occasional tutor on DCC training courses.

Dale Robertson

Dale Robertson has recently joined Jisc to work on the EOSCpilot project’s Policy and Governance Work Packages.  Dale is a specialist in European Public Affairs in the areas of Digital and Research Policies, and also an experienced Project Manager in the context of EC-funded research projects.  She spent five years as Head of EU Liaison at GÉANT, developing and leading an EU policy advice and engagement function, and prior to that was Marketing Communications Manager, leading the Communications activity of successive EC-funded GÉANT projects.  Dale has also worked in the European Commission

Tiziana Ferrari

Tiziana Ferrari

Tiziana is Technical Director at the EGI Foundation since October 2013 and Technical Coordinator of the H2020 EGI flagship project funded by the EC: EGI-Engage. She was responsible for the direction of the EGI-InSPIRE project and was former Chief Operations Officer taking care of the operations coordination of EGI. She is a promoter of the Open Science Commons and participated in the definition of the EGI governance and service portfolio in the framework of the EGI_DS project.

Astrid Verheusen

Astrid’s career began as a researcher at the Institute for Dutch History and as a product manager at Sdu Publishers. From 2001 onwards, Astrid worked at the National Library of the Netherlands. She was involved in projects and programs concerning mass digitisation, digital preservation and digital libraries. She headed the Digitisation Department (2009-2010) and the IT Department (2012-2014). Until May 2017 she was head of the Innovative Projects Department when she joined LIBER.

Prodromos Tsiavos

Prodromos is the Head of Digital Development at the Onassis Cultural Centre and a Senior Research Fellow at The Media Institute at University College London (UCL)/ BBC. Prodromos has worked for the National Hellenic Research Foundation (National Documentation Centre), the European Commission, Oxford and Oslo Universities, the Athens University of Economics and Business and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He read law and Information Systems in Athens and London and holds a PhD in Law and Information Systems from the LSE.
